Founded in 1892, Potthast Brothers Furniture Company built cabinet-made furniture for some of the nicest homes in the Baltimore and Washington DC market.
Potthast made a dining room set for President Woodrow Wilson’s post-White House residence; dining furniture for the State House in Annapolis; and 87 pieces of furniture for the Maryland House at the Jamestown, Virginia Exposition in 1907. The mayor’s desk in Baltimore’s City Hall was also made by Potthast.
